Why You Should Always RTFM I accidentally just deleted the backbone to the photoblog. Bad? Yes. But the pages are still up, so you all will see no changes for a few more weeks. I'm considering totally overhauling the entire project since I can't really get it back. For now, the blog still exists, and eventually I'll throw it back up in an updated format, but it'll take a couple weeks after I get back from the beach to get up, in a best-case scenario. For now, I'll probably just let it sit while I think on how best to utilize TextPattern and/or WordPress--especially considering that MT looks like it's going down a road that's more corporate than I care to take. They weren't kidding when they said it was critically important to back up before upgrading. This is what I get for just playing around without checking the instructions. RTFM, indeed. posted at 12:44:00 AM on 2.6.06
Tinkering So the site is undergoing some slight layout changes, but I'm mainly working on the content. Much of this stuff is due for an update--if not an overhaul. I'm going to work on an extension to cover backpacking stuff: trails, gear, etc. I'm also looking to either replace or update photostack, the utility I use to organize my galleries. WordPress will likely replace Movable Type as the blog utility, as well. I'm pretty happy with the current photoblog setup, though, so that will just get new pictures as time goes on. This summer has been largely uneventful. I've gone and hung with Techies a few times since we got out, and I've also been seeing kids in high school as well as the old gang. A lot of folks are out of town or leaving town, so I try to take advantage of what time I have with these old friends. I'm also hunting for another roommate. Give me a heads up if you're interested in a room over in Home Park. posted at 10:20:00 PM on 1.6.06
Live to Love Another Day I've been biding my time living the Hectic College Life. Things are going well, though--especially this semester. As things wind down and summer comes into full bloom, I expect to see this site go through some small renovations as well as regular updates. I plan on returning to Little A-Town this summer, with a few breaks thrown in here and there. A couple of jobs and fourteen weeks later, I'll return to Atlanta and Tech, the home that is not too far from home. For now, though, I'm hacking my way through these last couple of weeks of projects and exams. Summer is near, and days of yore will resurface and visit us once again. Take it easy, everyone, until I see you next. posted at 2:12:00 PM on 25.4.06
